Established in 1908
Lapworth Cricket Club (LCC) is located in the idyllic village of Lapworth in Warwickshire. Founded in 1908 LCC moved to its present ground, the Melson Memorial Park in 1952. The ground was given in trust to the village of Lapworth by Mr. Melson a local businessman for the playing of sport and was initially shared with a hockey club.
Since the early nineties, only cricket has been played at the ground and LCC are solely responsible for the maintenance of the ground and buildings. LCC were founding members of the Tapster League in 1973, before moving to the Warwickshire Cricket League in 1999 and most recently moving to the Cotswold Hills League in 2012.
